SAS software suite available in the library

SAS version 9.1.3 is a suite of software products designed for accessing,
analyzing and reporting on data for a wide variety of applications. Base
SAS software consists of SAS programming language to manage data and SAS
procedures for basic data analysis and reporting. The optional SQL
procedure allows SQL programming in lieu of data step and procedure
programming. The Base module also includes the Output Delivery System (ODS)
as an extendable system that delivers output in a variety of formats, such
as list files or HTML.

These SAS products below are integrated with Base SAS to provide one total
system:

SAS/STAT software provides comprehensive statistical tools for a wide range
of statistical analyses, including analysis of variance, categorical data
analysis, multivariate analysis, power and sample size computations,
regression, survey data analysis, and survival analysis.

SAS/GRAPH software is a data visualization and presentation (graphics)
component that creates and displays high quality graphs and business charts
to include scatter plots, 3-dimensional plots, surface and contour plots,
bar charts and pie charts.

SAS/ACCESS for PC Files allows SAS to transparently share data with personal
computer applications including Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel.

The software is installed on a single computer workstation in the medical library. For more information please stop at the reference desk.

This new feature allows users to attach non-bibliographic references, much like attaching files to an e-mail message. A variety of non-bibliographic information can be uploaded including: JPG, PDF, TIF, GIF to name a few.

For a short preview of this new feature click here or contact the library at library@med.navy.mil.
