New OvidSP interface coming soon

OvidSP is coming soon and we'd like to introduce some of the
features that will make searching with Ovid an easier, faster, more
intuitive experience.

Th search process is simplified so that OvidSP is
a powerful tool for novice *or* advanced users. Dynamic Search tabs allow
you to search content using a preferred search mode. With OvidSP,
simultaneous searching across all content types-books, journals, and
databases-is more streamlined and simpler than ever! And in our Basic Search
tab, Natural Language Processing (NLP) supports easy, free text searching!

Search tabs include:
- *Basic Search -* Just enter free text and go! Basic Search uses NLP
to make it easy for any user to enter a search term or question and quickly
get results. There's no need for special syntax!

- *Find Citation - *Only know part of a bibliographic citation? Here,
you can enter values for specific fields, such as DOIs (digital object
identifiers) and PubMed IDs (where available) to find a specific citation.

- *Subject Search - *Search using natural language and specific tools,
including map term, tree, permuted index, scope notes, explode, subheadings,
classification codes, and more.

- *Search Fields* - This tab also supports natural language searching.
Choose this tab to search all available database fields, including
Abstracts, Author Name, ISSN, and much more.

- *Ovid "Classic"
Still want traditional Ovid syntax? Ideal for
advanced searchers, this tab supports Boolean search terms, including AND,
OR, NOT, the asterisk (*) wildcard, as well as the current supported dollar
($) wildcard character.

OvidSP is scheduled to go live on *October 25, 2007 but we'll have dual
access to both OvidSP and Ovid Gateway (the "old" Ovid until February 4, 2008.
